What It Is

In-Home Cat Sitting That Keeps Cats Calm

Cats are creatures of habit and territory — a cattery or boarding facility can be genuinely stressful for them. Our Calgary cat sitting service brings care to your cat in the home they already feel safe in, so their litter box, feeding spot, hiding places, and routine never change. Every visit is one-on-one and built around your cat's personality.

What's included in a cat sitting visit

  • Feeding, fresh water & treats to your instructions
  • Litter box scooping, sanitizing & odour control
  • Medication — including insulin for diabetic cats & SubQ fluids for kidney cats (RVT-level)
  • Play, enrichment & gentle companionship suited to your cat
  • Wellness monitoring — appetite, hydration, litter habits, behaviour
  • Daily photo updates & a report card after every visit
  • Home care extras: mail, plants, blinds & security checks

The Difference

An RVT Caring for Your Cat

Cats are experts at hiding illness — by the time symptoms show, things can be serious. Corks Critter Care is owned and run by Corrine Bray, a Registered Veterinary Technologist with over 26 years of hands-on animal care. She recognizes the subtle early signs cat owners and hobby sitters miss, and can safely give insulin to diabetic cats and SubQ fluids to cats with kidney disease — clinical-level care most Calgary cat sitters simply can't provide.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does cat sitting cost in Calgary?

Cat sitting is priced per visit based on how many cats you have, their routine, the number of visits, and any add-ons like medication or SubQ fluids. Most cats do well with one visit per day; some need every 48 hours. Tell us your cat's needs and we'll send a clear, no-surprises quote, usually within 24 hours.

Can you give my cat insulin or SubQ fluids?

Yes. Owner Corrine Bray is a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT), so she can safely give insulin injections to diabetic cats and subcutaneous (SubQ) fluid therapy to cats with kidney disease, right in your home. Very few Calgary cat sitters can offer this.

Is in-home cat sitting better than a cattery or boarding?

For most cats, yes. Cats are territorial and often become stressed away from home. In-home cat sitting keeps their litter box, feeding spot, hiding places, and routine exactly the same, which is far less stressful than a cattery or boarding facility.

How often will you visit my cat?

Most cats are visited once a day. Kittens, diabetic cats, or cats on medication may need visits every 12 hours; independent adult cats can sometimes be seen every 48 hours. We build a schedule around your cat's specific needs during the meet and greet.
