1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CorksCritterCare website at corkscrittercare.com and the services we provide. By using this website, requesting a quote, or booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

2. Our services

CorksCritterCare provides in-home pet care and related home-care services in the Calgary, Alberta area, including dog walking, pet sitting, overnight stays, cat visits, midday puppy playtime, nursing care, home care, and concierge services. The specific services, schedule, and pricing for your booking are confirmed during your orientation visit and in writing.

3. Client responsibilities

To allow us to provide safe, reliable care, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information about your pets, your home, and your contact details;
• Disclose any known health conditions, behavioural issues, allergies, or history of aggression for each pet;
• Supply adequate food, medication, and supplies for the booked period;
• Ensure reliable access to your home (keys, codes, or lockbox) and working contact information;
• Maintain appropriate vaccinations and licensing for your pets as required by law;
• Provide emergency contact and veterinarian details.

4. Bookings, keys & access

A new-client orientation visit is required before your first service so we can meet you and your pet and confirm details. Keys and access information are kept securely and used only to provide your requested services. For holiday and peak periods we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance, as availability is limited.

5. Payment

We accept PayPal, Stripe, cash, and Interac e-Transfer. Pricing is finalised during your orientation visit based on your pet's needs. Payment is due as agreed at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged in writing. A separate fee may apply to the in-person orientation visit.

6. Cancellations & refunds

If you need to cancel or change a booking, please notify us as early as possible. Cancellation terms, including any deposits or fees for late cancellation (particularly during holidays and peak periods), will be confirmed at the time of booking. We reserve the right to decline or end a service where a pet poses a safety risk or where information provided was materially inaccurate.

7. Pet health & emergencies

Your pet's wellbeing is our priority. If your pet becomes ill or injured while in our care, you authorise us to take reasonable steps to obtain veterinary care. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you and your designated veterinarian first. You remain responsible for veterinary and related costs. Please also see our Disclaimer.

8. Shop & digital products

Our website may offer products, guides, courses, or other digital downloads for purchase. Unless otherwise stated, digital products are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use and may not be resold or redistributed. Because digital items are delivered immediately, sales may be final; any specific refund terms will be stated at checkout.

9. Website content & intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and the CorksCritterCare name — is owned by or licensed to CorksCritterCare and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute our content without our prior written permission. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it.

10. Limitation of liability

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CorksCritterCare is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of Alberta.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Your continued use of the website or our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
